Job Title: IT Support Technician


Preemo is looking for a motivated self-starter, who loves computers and wants the opportunity to work at a fast growing technology company. IT Support Technicians are responsible for managing server environments, networking and security, remote support and maintenance, as well as user help desk and daily troubleshooting. The role will require interfacing daily with corporate IT clients, and their staff, as well as residential customers requiring in-home support. Absolute Musts:

  • Excellent communication skills, speak clearly and effectively, English & Spanish
  • Team Player – works well within a tight knit group of technicians & account executives
  • Self-Starter – doesn’t require daily micro-management, can fly solo effectively
  • Hard Worker – the job is done when it’s done, not when we close or when your shift is up
  • Crisis Manager – able to diffuse a complicated situation, and handle unsatisfied customers


  • Service and support enterprise IT clients (most important)
  • Maintain in-house ticketing system, and associated client requests
  • Perform in-home support services to residential clients
  • Remote support & maintenance for servers and workstations
  • Recommend vendors, brands, and products for company growth

Below are some of the things we are looking for:

Required Technical Skills:

  • Experience in basic computer troubleshooting, including hardware & software issues, virus & malware removal, laptop dissasembly and workflow of multi-computer repair
  • Experience with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and Mac OSX (all versions)
  • Experience with Windows 2000, 2003 and 2008 Server
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010
  • Router/Firewall Configurations (SonicWall, Cisco, Barracuda)
  • Mobile Device Configuration (iOS, Blackberry, Android, etc)

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications: A+ Certification, Windows MSCE, Server Certifications
  • Experience with Sonicwall Routers
  • Experience with Unix and Linux Operating Systems
  • Worked with LogMeIn as a support tool
  • Configured Backup Assist, Backup Exec, or similar BDR software
  • Experience setting up Off-Site Backup (i.e. Mozy, Carbonite)
  • Experience with Blackberry Enterprise Server

Would be great:

  • Cisco or Apple Certification
  • Previous experience managing technicians (i.e. Geek Squad, CompUSA, etc)
  • Previous experience managing retail environment
  • Scripting experience – to increase efficiency and process
  • Data Recovery Experience
  • Board-Level Repair or Soldering Experience
  • Virtualization Experience
  • Experience working with SAN and other storage arrays
