Preemo’s fearless leader, Ivan Mladenovic, will join the Chamber South team on March 21st for the King Pins Challenge, a community bowling tournament and fundraiser in support of the South Miami Drug-Free Coalition, a project of Informed Families.
According to the Miami Herald:
“For three hours, on all thirteen lanes, over seventy bowlers of varying skill levels, will be raising funds for the Coalition’s work here in South Miami. Former Heat Guard Tim Hardaway will serve as Guest MC and Celebrity Bowler.
Heading up the list of King Pins are South Miami’s former and current mayors. And joining them on the lanes will be teams from County Commissioner Carlos Gimenez, the South Miami Police Department, Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue, South Miami Hospital, First National Bank of South Miami, South Miami Senior High School, and area business owners.
Last year’s inaugural raised $25,000 to support the Coalition’s community projects. During the course of the year, the Coalition worked with businesses, parents, schools and law enforcement to help our children grow up safe, healthy and drug-free. Among the projects initiated were the Social Norms Campaign at South Miami Senior High School, a “Project Sticker Shock” campaign geared to remind adults not to provide alcohol for underage use, a “Lock Your Meds” education outreach and other community-wide initiatives.”
As part of the tournament, bowlers are asked to raise money for the South Miami Drug-Free Coalition, which I am doing. You are welcome to make a donation below by clicking on the PayPal link. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
